Ms. Taylor has been dancing and making dances and everything associated with them since childhood, resulting in a body of work that reflects on the idea, "I have curves and I create dances that work with those curves." Working with curves ( hers and the dancers's) and everything from yo-yo's, ladders, and shadow puppets among other things, the dancers and she explore aspects of spirituality, sensuality, and passion leavened with a bit of humor.
After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music (BA Dance), many moons ago and spending a few years in Boston studying with Susan Rose, she's lives and works in New York City, taking class with many of the Horton technique gurus, Jolea Maffei, Milton Myers, Regina Larkin, and Joy Kellman.
In addition to Pi Dance Theatre, she's also worked with Infinity Dance Theater, as a dancer, choreographer and costume designer, resulting in a successful season on Judson Church in 2012.
Taylor is the Principal of Create and Share Media, a marketing strategy company supporting small businesses and start ups.
